【SDGs】野球用品になるはずだった素材をアップサイクル（2023/8/12）
野球のバットになるはずだった木材をアップサイクルしている浅野麻美さん。
製造過程で節やキズがある木材は、バットに不向きで廃棄していましたが、それをフライパンの取っ手に活用したところ、グラウンドで振れなかったバットが台所で大ヒット。
この他、野球のグラブを作る際に余った皮革を使って小物などに再生しています。
これからもスポーツで培った知見や技術を生かして社会貢献をしていきたいと語る浅野さんの思い描く未来とは？
Ms. Mami Asano upcycles wood that was intended to become a baseball bat. Wood that turns out to have knots or damage revealed during the production process and thus is not suitable for baseball bats were usually thrown away, but by using that wood to make frying pan handles, bats that never made it to the baseball field are now a big hit in the kitchen. They also make other various items out of leftover leather from the process of making baseball gloves. Ms. Asano says that in the future she would like to contribute to society by using the knowledge and techniques cultivated in sports. What kind of future does she envision?
