【SDGs】着たい水着を選んでプール授業を楽しく！ (2022/10/15）
ジェンダー問題を抱える子どものために男女共通水着を開発した佐野さん。
今までスクール水着は男女どちらかの形を選ぶのが慣例で、それに悩む子どもたちがいる現状を知り、上半身はロック式ファスナー付きの前開きの長袖、下半身は撥水加工のハーフパンツに変更。
泳ぎやすさと体のラインが目立たないデザインとなった水着の導入を検討する学校が年々増えており、この水着が選択肢の１つになればと願う佐野さんが思い描く未来とは？
Ms.Reiko Sano designed a swimsuit that can be worn by boys and girls who are dealing with gender issues. Until now, it was conventional for students to choose either a boy’s or girl’s school swimsuit. When she realized that there were children who were struggling with that, she changed the design to a long sleeve, front-opening torso with a lock fastener. The legs are water resistant half-pants. Every year, the number of schools considering implementing the design, which is easy to swim in and does not have a conspicuous bodyline, is increasing. Ms.Sano hopes that this swimsuit will become one of the options for children. What kind of future does she envision?
