【SDGs】生産者と消費者が力を合わせて未来へ続く米づくり（2023/11/25）

生産者と共に栽培方法などを話し合って米づくりをしている木村 香さん。消費者のひとりとして農業体験で米産地を訪れた際、生産者の食への強い探求心に心を打たれ、何らかの形で米づくりに関わりたい、と活動をスタート。子どもたちに生態系や食の安全性の大切さを伝えるため、田植えや稲刈りのイベントを行ってきました。産地への愛着を深めることは、環境保全や自分たちの命を守ることにつながると語る木村さんの思い描く未来とは？

Ms. Kaori Kimura discusses rice farming methods with growers. As a consumer, when she visited a rice-producing region to experience farming, She was moved by the producers’ strong desire to delve into food and decided that she wanted to be involved in rice production in some way, so she started rice planting and harvesting activities. We hold rice planting and harvesting events to convey to children the importance of the ecosystem and food security. Ms. Kimura says that deepening our connection to production areas will lead to environmental conservation and protect our own lives. What kind of future does she see?
