【SDGs】環境負荷の少ない 木の実から作る天然繊維（2023/12/23）
環境に配慮した素材を使ったアパレルブランドを展開する深井喜翔さん。大学卒業後に入社した繊維メーカーで、資格取得の勉強をしていた時、木の実から綿を採取できる植物「カポック」と出合った。木を伐採せずに実が採取できるカポックは、繊維が短く軽いのでシート状に加工し中綿として使用することで軽くて暖かいコートが完成した。消費者・生産者・地球環境などすべてをサステナブルな世界にしたいと語る深井さんの描く未来とは？
Mr. Kisho Fukai runs an apparel brand that uses environmentally friendly materials. He started working at a textile manufacturer after graduating from university, and while studying to obtain qualifications, learned about kapok, a tree from which cotton can be harvested from the nuts. Because Kapok nuts, which can be harvested without cutting down the trees, have short and light fibers, when used as batting, creating a light and warm coat. Mr. Fukai says he wants to create a world where everything from consumers to producers to the global environment is sustainable. What kind of future does he envision?
