灯籠や墓石の廃材を上質な石の食器にアップサイクルしている稲垣遼太さん。
お皿に代用できる廃材をネットオークションに出品したところ、改めて飲食店から石のお皿の注文が入ったことがきっかけで、これまでに50種類以上の石の食器を製作し、今では納期が6カ月待ちになるほどの人気商品となっています。
地球が生み出した「石」という資源を加工して、長く使ってもらえるような器を作っていきたいと語る稲垣さんが思い描く未来とは？
Mr.Ryosuke Inagaki up-cycles the stone debris left over from making lanterns and tombstones into tableware. A restaurant that saw a piece of debris he put up on an internet auction and made an order for stone plates was the impetus for a series of stone tableware. Now the tableware had grown in popularity, and he receives orders from all over Japan and the world. He would like to increase the number of young craftsmen by getting people who have never been interested in stone to know about its various applications. What kind of future does Mr. Inagaki see?
