【SDGs】選手にやさしい人工芝で循環型の社会をつくる（2023/6/17）
天然素材を使った、人工芝用の充填剤を製造している葛原妥行さん。
一般的に、人工芝の充填材にはゴムチップが使われていますが、葛原さんが扱う充填材は、ヤシなどの天然素材を使用。身体への負荷が軽減できるだけでなく、暑い日でも熱がこもりにくく、フィールドの温度を比較的一定に保てるのが特徴です。
また、充填材の製造過程で出たゴミを、軽量土として畑で使えるよう循環型の社会をつくりたいと語る葛原さんの思い描く未来とは？
Mr. Yasuyuki Kuzuhara manufactures filler for artificial turf using natural materials. Rubber chips are generally used as filler for artificial turf, but Mr. Kuzuhara uses natural materials such as palm trees. Not only does it reduce the burden on the body, but it also prevents heat from accumulating; even on hot days, keeping the temperature of the field relatively constant. Mr. Kuzuhara says he wants to create a recycling-oriented society so that the waste generated in the manufacturing process of the filling material can be used as lightweight soil in the fields. What kind of future does he envision?
