Sennenya is a residential house remaining since centuries ago.
We are visiting two Sennennyas registered with the National Important Cultural Property in Hyogo, where many of them still remains. One is the Furui Residence, known as “Calamity-free”. Where did the name come from?
The other is the Hakogi Residence in Kobe City, which is estimated to be the oldest residential house in Japan. What were the successive residents’ daily lives like?
