A look into the lives of two Ukrainian ballerinas seeking refuge in Japan 「踊ることが私なりの戦い（英語字幕版）」

Nelia Ivanova(22) and Svitlana Shlikhter(22)belonged to the national Ukraine opera and ballet theatre. On 24th February their lives were turned upside down when Russia started its invasion of Ukraine. Emi Hariyama, the world renowned Japanese ballerina, gave a helping hand to both to settle in. They started their new lives on the island of Awaji in Japan. They often hold back tears while worrying about the families they left behind. But they keep taking to the stage because they believe it is their “fight” for peace.
